Purple Strong : Raising awareness and generating support about domestic violence through empowering film and photography.
Purple Strong produces powerful testimony videos and artful imagery featuring domestic violence survivors. Our goal is to showcase resilience, courage, and to show that a joyful life and healthy relationships are possible after abuse. Jacob Miller of Purple Boudoir and Heidi Morrison of Leather & Lace, have collaborated with Lingerie Briefs and Curve New York, to bring to the world a documentary of survivor’s stories. Featuring the courageous real women and men that celebrate our stories of survival and sharing our successes, we’re creating unity to break the stigma and shame that surrounds domestic abuse and bring an end to the cycle.
We are hosting this fundraising event to produce this documentary that will be showcased at the largest intimate apparel tradeshow in the US. We are looking for participants, supporters, donors, and sponsors.
Details: We’ll be in the Zephyr Room at Two Brothers Roundhouse with 50 of our closest friends, gathering for an inspiring afternoon of community, celebration, and collective action.
